Give 2 Minute warning before net.
This is [CALLSIGN] and I will be starting the Spokane GMRS Information Net in two minutes. If there is any emergency traffic or if you need to make a quick call, please go ahead and do so now.
Attention all stations. Good evening. This is [CALLSIGN] and my name is [NAME]. I am bringing up the weekly Spokane GMRS Information net and I will be your net control station for tonight. Emergency traffic may break in at any time. This net meets every Sunday at 7:30pm on the Liberty Lake GMRS repeater with a frequency of 462.55MHz, an offset of +5MHz and a tone of 77 Hz.
{Unkey; Pause momentarily}
This net invites all licensed GMRS radio operators to participate, so please check in with us. This is a directed net and all traffic will be handled by me until the close of this net. I will call for a round of check-ins, followed by a round of questions and discussion, simply reply with your callsign and your name to check in. Please spell slowly and phonetically when giving your callsign. Once recognized by the Net Control Operator, then you may come with your traffic.
Traffic appropriate for this net includes announcements, technical talk, swap listings, sports, today’s weather, testing equipment, or any information regarding HAM or GMRS radio. Before we start check-ins, do we have any announcement for the net?
{Unkey; Pause for any announcements}
I will now call for check-ins. If you are an in and out station or otherwise have no traffic, please come now.
{Log and confirm in and out stations.}
Now calling for stations with traffic.
{Log checkins. Once there is a long pause in check-ins, confirm check-ins and ask for more check-ins. Once there are no longer any check-ins, circle back to the top for any traffic.}
This is [NAME], [CALLSIGN] with the Spokane GMRS Information Net. Do we have any more check-ins or traffic for the net?
{Unkey; Pause for check-ins and traffic}
Nothing heard so with no further check-ins I’m going to close the net at this time. The Spokane GMRS Information Net thanks you for your participation. I would like to thank WRAS397, Joe for the use of his repeater equipment for this net. This net meets every Sunday at 7:30pm on this repeater frequency 462.55MHZ, an offset of +5MHz and a tone of 77 Hz. Tonight we had [CHECK-IN COUNT] check-ins. This is [CALLSIGN] and this net is now officially closed, and the frequency is available for normal GMRS operations. 73's everybody.
